Loggerheads on English Bridge in Shrewsbury

Hi!
This photo-blog is all about the 'loggerheads' of Shrewsbury & Shropshire (Salop)

In Shropshire, when you say 'loggerheads' you mean the three leopards faces that have been a heraldic device representing the town & county for some six hundred years - and are well-loved and to be seen everywhere.

On this site we'll be spotting such loggerheads and uploading photos to this site.  Check out our photo-blog page for the latest sightings, which are posted three times a month.
We are a small team of local history enthusiasts, just doing this project for the love of it.

On this website, we'll also be highlighting some loggerheads mysteries - and we could really do with your help in answering the puzzles...  Click here for a list of Loggerheads Mysteries

And this is just the start.  Next year, we hope to mount an exhibition in Shropshire showing just what a big part the loggerheads play and have played in Salopian life.  Watch this space!
